With the last known shipment of jet fuel underway from the chaotic Middle East, the vessels have been fixed to bring in supplies from the US East Coast for the first time since July 2024. AIS data shows the 50,000-dwt Puffin Pacific (built 2020) and Pyxis Lamda (built 2017) crossing the Atlantic to arrive in Kent in the next couple of days. Singapore owner Pacific Carriers’ Pacific Puffin left New York on 23 March and was approaching the English Channel on Wednesday. The ship is signalling arrival in the port of Isle of Grain on Thursday. Pyxis Tankers’ Pyxis Lamda departed Perth Amboy on 24 March and is due at the Isle of Grain on 4 April. The US exports about 300,000 barrels per day of jet fuel. Most of this is shipped to Canada and Mexico.
